It is one gloomy, overcast long weekend, isn’t it?

You’d think after such an overwhelming victory for the Oilers on Saturday, the skies would part somewhat and the celestial life-fostering orb we call the sun would shine down upon us just a little bit. Sadly, that’s outcome is not in our collective future.

What is in our future is a lot of rain and wind — specifically 40 km/h wind and mild showers beginning Sunday morning and persisting throughout the day with a high of 9 C. Those will continue throughout the night and into Monday morning, punctuating the Victoria Day long weekend with showers that are said to be ending in the late afternoon, and a high of 11 C, though the overcast will continue into Tuesday.

Despite the rain, I hope we all get a chance to spend quality time with family, friends, and pets over the long weekend!
