It’s -1.0 C at the Edmonton Blatchford weather station with 5 km/h winds out of the west, southwest.
Much like yesterday, Edmontonians can expect to see some foggy conditions when they wake up this morning with forecasters issuing a fog advisory for the city and surrounding area. The fog is expected to dissipate later this morning, and then all heck breaks loose.
Heck in the form of wind, that is. And lots of it. Forecasters say the wind will start to pick up at 20-40 km/h and reach gusts of 40-60 km/h later this afternoon, and early evening. With the wind comes rain and/or snow. Take your pick. Either way, I’ll be indoors.
Today: Fog dissipating this morning then cloudy. 60 per cent chance of showers late this afternoon. Wind becoming northwest 20 km/h gusting to 40 early this afternoon then increasing to 40 gusting to 60. High 4 C. UV index 1 or low.
