Things are breaking down, icing over, giving up as the cold begins its deep dig. And yet there are hands, helping hands, firm hands helping up, warming up, staying strong to shield the way through. Huddle and think the way through, unified.

It’s not easy, the high Sunday -15 C, the wind chill minus 25. A dump of snow arrives Tuesday. And that’s the good news. The blast mid-week plummets close to -40 C territory, the low Thursday night, a crushing -37 C. Think before you go outside; bundle, fuel. Watch for everyone outside, pets too. Time is of the essence if you get stuck. Seek help, call for help, ask. Don’t get lost, swept into the cold abyss, forgotten. Helper people are around. Don’t give up.
