Edmonton weather: Strong winds temper an otherwise sunny day

Article content

A look at Wednesday’s weather by Environment Canada.

It’s 10 C at the Edmonton Blatchford weather station with 42 km/h winds out of the northwest.

It’s always got to be something, right?

I mean, after days of Vancouver-style rain, we can’t just have a warm day. Even with a high of 19 C, Wednesday’s forecast is a mix of sun and cloud with winds climbing to 50 km/h. Those winds will persist into the evening before calming down by Thursday morning to 20 km/h. Thursday will also have a high of 19 C, and those winds will quickly climb back up to 40 km/h.

All that said, if you can stand a bit of wind blowing directly in your face, the next few days may be a good chance to get yourself a natural tan, even if it’s a bit blustery. Just remember your sunscreen!
