Edmonton weather: The clouds, the clouds are coming, and bringing thunderstorms with them

Article content

A look at Tuesday’s weather by Environment Canada.

It’s 14 C at the Edmonton Blatchford weather station with 5 km/h winds out of the west northwest.

Once again it seems the weather is going to match our collective moods after the pummelling the Oilers got handed last night.

Right, right, the weather.

Tuesday will see increased clouds throughout the day, with showers starting in the afternoon despite a high of 22 C. Thunderstorms will enter the fray in the late evening, with overnight showers dropping 5mm of rain blown in by 40 km/h winds. The winds will climb to 50 km/h on Wednesday, with a 60 per cent chance of showers, a risk of thunderstorms, and a high of 14 C.

Let’s hope the Oil can bring the thunder and keep themselves in the series.
