A Parkland County man faces charges including impaired and dangerous driving causing death following the RCMP investigation into a fatal rollover in October.
Mounties say at 1:15 a.m. Oct. 22 they were called to a report of a single vehicle roll-over in the area of Township Road 531 and Range Road 22 in Parkland County.

When they arrived on scene, they found that the driver had escaped, while two other people also from Parkland County had been ejected from the vehicle.

They say despite life saving efforts, a 22-year-old male was pronounced deceased at the scene and a 25-year-old male was taken to hospital in critical condition. He later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver was found shortly after, with the assistance of Edmonton police helicopter Air 1, and the RCMP Police Dog Service.
Kaden Scheideman, 20, has been charged with two counts each of dangerous operation causing death, failing to remain at the scene of a collision causing death, impaired operation of a vehicle causing death and over 80 causing death.
Scheideman was released on bail with a number of conditions.
He’s scheduled to appearance is scheduled to appear at the Alberta Court of Justice Stony Plain on Nov. 29, 2023.
