A Saskatchewan man is facing robbery and weapons-related charges in connection to a St. Albert casino robbery in November.
On Nov. 23, RCMP began asking the public for assistance in identifying a suspect who allegedly walked into the Century Casino in St. Albert, produced a firearm and demanded money. Police said the suspect fled the scene in a dark Jeep Cherokee SUV following the heist. Police did not disclose the amount of money taken at the time.

After a lengthy investigation, the St. Albert RCMP general investigation section unit travelled to Regina on March 26 and, with the help of Regina Police Service, located and arrested a man without incident, police said in a Wednesday news release.
Shaun Rains, 49, of Regina, is charged with robbery with an imitation firearm, use of an imitation firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and carrying a concealed weapon.
Rains was transported from Regina to St. Albert and remanded into custody. He is scheduled to appear in St. Albert court on April 8.
