Speaking to the CBC, Clint Leveque, Claire’s father, said he wants “justice” for his daughter.
“This is the sickest thing you could possibly imagine,” said Leveque, adding he had received strange text messages from Pearson suggesting something was wrong in the relationship and that flights were booked for the couple to return to Canada.
“Things aren’t really adding up,” he told the CBC.
Focused on the positive things about his daughter, he remembered her “being happy and doing things that she loved doing and being with people.”
According to local Scottish news, divers and a recovery truck lifted the wreckage of a vehicle less than one kiloemtre from the property where Claire Leveque was discovered.
Westlock is approximately 90 km north of Edmonton.
