Celeigh Cardinal

“Boundless Possibilities” is the resilient title of this award-winning powerhouse’s third full-length, created in the aftermath of the pandemic, the murder of her child’s father and a friend’s death by suicide.

“I am now a different person for the rest of my life,” Celeigh Cardinal says. “I’ll never be the same again.”

Exploring grief, mental health and independence, she collaborated with Matthew Cardinal, the Bros. Landreth and David Francey.

Unfaded

Now living in Montreal, Edmonton expat Marlaena Moore just released her first new music in two years, along with a terrific video by Sasha Khalimonova of the singer-songwriter wandering around as life happens to her in “Unfaded.”

“I started writing this song back in 2017, a very aimless and lost time in my life,” says Moore of the sad-yet-hopeful single. “I feel like I’m still waiting to fully know what this song is about, but I guess I would have to describe it as owning my naiveness.

“I don’t have it all figured out,” she says. “I’m not perfect. I still don’t know what I’m doing.”

Who does? But it’s a great song!
