Edmonton Drag Festival: Kicking off with The Rainbow Where the 2 Spirits Meet 2 Spirit Pow Wow at noon Friday, 10 international entertainers and more than 50 local drag artists will dazzle and dominate the core with three days of programming on Churchill Square!

The first day is a drug- and alcohol-free event full of drum groups and 2S dancers, including Gayle Pruden and Kiera Munroe. Saturday it’s Drag Fest Extravaganza, starring RuPaul alums Plasma and Kimora Amour, Canada’s Drag Race vets Nearah Nuff and Kiki Coe, plus dozens of others. Both days kids are allowed till 6 p.m. Then, Sunday, it’s the adults-only, $39.99 ticketed Ultimate Pink & White Drag Brunch hosted by the sensational Kendall Gender, with celeb meet-and-greets starting at 6 p.m.

Disco in the Parking Lot: Hilariously suffixed with “-ing Lot” after reeling the old “in the Park” party back to Grindstone’s front door for the fourth annual DitP, Sweat and Fruit Loop present an amazing lineup of DJ talent, from Scotland’s Natasha Kitty Katt to Detroit’s Waajeed to Halifax’s Pineo & Loeb, plus CJSR star David Stone and a dozen other spin-and-beat wizards. Also in the mix, live shows by Electric Religious and The Fever! Prepare to party.

Co*Lab Kickoff Party: The little Downtown space that could, did and does is celebrating the start of summer with this open-door community fundraiser. Music wise, it’s Dylan Ella, Pearly Moon, Tamarack Cunningham, Sebastian Barrera, Spring Crush and Clemcat Hughes.

There will also be $2 meat and veggie hotdogs in the courtyard to enjoy around the fires. Bound to be a nice time overall.
